Q&A

What do you enjoy most about life in the Bay Area?

I enjoy the strong sense of community and the diverse opportunities here. Living in Fremont, I appreciate being able to drive to San Jose each weekend to connect with my community by teaching Vietnamese and singing in my church choir. The Bay Area also provides a dynamic environment to continue growing my wealth management career.

What has been the most rewarding aspect of your professional roles?

I recently had the opportunity to help a couple who were approaching retirement. I guided them in rebalancing their portfolio to align with their new priorities, reduced their investment expenses, and reassessed their cash flow and insurance needs to ensure they were adequately prepared. We also reviewed their trusts and discussed various scenarios to determine the optimal time to liquidate their current rental property. That experience of helping my clients achieve their goals and seeing the positive impact on their lives has been incredibly rewarding.

What inspired you to pursue a career in wealth management?

My father was one of the founders of a bank in Vietnam back in the 1990s, and he inspired me to begin a career in banking. After working in retail banking for a few years, I realized I wanted to provide my clients with more comprehensive financial guidance. This led me to pursue wealth management, where I now have the ability to work with a wider range of clients and build long-term relationships as I guide them on their financial journeys.
